Promoting yourself breaks you away from the crowd and helps you get noticed. The process of self-promoting (self-marketing) yourself not only helps you brand yourself, it can lead to new opportunities, and can eventually set you as a leader within your field. Knowing how to market yourself is key. Setting your goals, knowing your strengths, specialization, volunteering, advertising through social media, publicly speaking, as well as networking, are all beneficial to getting recognized in your career. So, ask yourself, “Where Do You See Yourself in 5 Years?” And are you doing enough to reach for what you want? Let’s look ahead!

Cabell Huntington Hospital- NRC Inspection: Why are we Here?
Nancy Godby, MS-MHA, MA, RT(R)(M), CHC

Target Audience: General
1 CEU

The goal of this presentation is to provide some insights into the current inspection goals of the NRC and describe the challenges we have faced in bringing providers and staff members into compliance with our renewed Radiation Safety Culture. The changes are really basic to all of us who work in and around radiation on a daily basis. However, we have all struggled to ensure an appreciation for the hazards and the need to take measures to protect staff members from unnecessary exposure. The NRC has a renewed interest in this avenue for inspection, and this presentation is intended to provide an eye-opening scenario of how organizations can find themselves in a penalty status with the NRC.

AI is poised to revolutionize radiology healthcare, ushering in a new era of more accurate diagnoses, personalized treatment plans, and access to care. These new advancements in our industry not only provide benefits to patients but to the radiology providers through improved workflows, image guidance, and educational opportunities. When we think about AI in radiology, many are quick to focus on reading assistance for physicians however there is so much more available to our technologists and patients that is rarely discussed. As technology continues to evolve, we can expect some hurdles to overcome and even more exciting advancements that will redefine the future of healthcare.
