Optimizing DR Image Quality Using Clinical Benchmarks -"Can You Think Like a Radiologist?"
Randy Griswold, MPA, RT(R)

With today’s digital imaging technologies, assessing optimum image quality can be challenging, particularly from a clinical viewpoint. In this presentation we will look at radiographic image features of various examinations much like a radiologist would, to assess image quality.
We’ll look at the value of exposure indices as a quantifiable measure of image noise, and how these indices can be used to improve image quality. Image noise is considered one of the top radiologist complaints currently and the noise clearly impacts low contrast resolution as well as visual spatial resolution. The value of low contrast resolution will be emphasized as an image assessment benchmark using clinical image examples.
Additionally, we will dispel common “myths” regarding digital images and exposure technique selection. The value of exposure technique charts is as important as ever, and using EI and DI values is a compliment to these exposure tools. Without becoming a radiologist, from an image quality standpoint it’s important to understand what they are looking for on radiographic images. That will be a consistent theme during this presentation.

Growth Mindset vs Fixed Mindset: What's the Difference?
Joy Renner

Having a growth mindset allows the individual to seize opportunities. The past does not define the future but informs future decisions of where to go from now to where you want to be. A fixed mindset makes it more difficult to recover from challenges and set-backs. Growth mindset builds resilience and the ability to persevere in difficult times. This session will highlight the differences between a person with a growth mindset versus those with a fixed mindset and how one can lead the individual to success and a full life.
