Growth Mindset vs Fixed Mindset: What's the Difference? Joy Renner
Having a growth mindset allows the individual to seize opportunities. The past does not define the future but informs future decisions of where to go from now to where you want to be. A fixed mindset makes it more difficult to recover from challenges and set-backs. Growth mindset builds resilience and the ability to persevere in difficult times. This session will highlight the differences between a person with a growth mindset versus those with a fixed mindset and how one can lead the individual to success and a full life.

While traditional models of leadership have been applied to the practice of health care, these models are incomplete as they fail to incorporate the technical aspects and skills required to practice in the clinical environment. However, clinical leadership models allow for combining the technical skills necessary for clinical practice with the leadership behaviors demonstrated in the profession. This is especially relevant in medical imaging as we strive to propel our profession forward. This presentation will examine common clinical leadership models, as well as research related to defining clinical radiography leadership. It will open dialogue related to the incorporation of clinical leadership competencies in the radiography curriculum.
