Setting your goals, knowing your strengths, specialization, volunteering, advertising through social media, publicly speaking, as well as networking, are all beneficial to getting recognized in your career. What the hell are you doing here? You won't last a week much less the summer. You really think you're gonna fit in here? You don't belong. I need plates on the line please !!!!!!! I see what you're good at, I'll be using you to clean up all the really dirty areas in the kitchen. Can you read, the recipe is right in front of you. Encouraging words? Inspiring comments, I thought they were and those words became my inspiration, my goal, my determination to get my career back after 24 years. I was going to be, again, a registered radiologist technologist in radiography.

Cabell Huntington Hospital- NRC Inspection: Why are we Here? Nancy Godby, MS-MHA, MA, RT(R)(M), CHC
Target Audience: General 1 CEU
The goal of this presentation is to provide some insights into the current inspection goals of the NRC and describe the challenges we have faced in bringing providers and staff members into compliance with our renewed Radiation Safety Culture. The changes are really basic to all of us who work in and around radiation on a daily basis. However, we have all struggled to ensure an appreciation for the hazards and the need to take measures to protect staff members from unnecessary exposure. The NRC has a renewed interest in this avenue for inspection, and this presentation is intended to provide an eye-opening scenario of how organizations can find themselves in a penalty status with the NRC.
